Russian Foreign Ministry Sent Back to Kiev a Protest Note on Putin’s Visit to Crimea
OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation sent back to Ukraine a note of protest on the visit of naval exercises in the Crimea, paid by President Vladimir Putin on January 9, without consideration.
The agency explained it to the lack of grounds for protest. “The President of Russia and other Russian officials should not coordinate their trips to the subjects of the Russian Federation with foreign states,” the massage published on the department’s website says.
The diplomats also called on Kiev authorities to “accept the reality of belonging” of the city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea to Russia.
