Russian Foreign Ministry Said That Moscow’s Sanctions Will Not Affect American Business
OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy head of Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergei Ryabkov, in an interview with Interfax news agency, speaking of retaliatory measures against US sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, said that Moscow does not intend to impose restrictions on American businesses operating in Russia.
Speaking about the imposition of sanctions against US investors and companies involved in the implementation of different projects, including Nord Stream 2, Ryabkov said: “I do not expect any pressure or restrictive influence on them.” The deputy minister explained that such actions would contradict the policy of the country’s leadership in the sphere of attracting foreign investment.
Ryabkov recalled that economic measures in response to “illegal American sanctions” have already been introduced long ago.
