OREANDA-NEWS. Recently, Russia and China were the main targets of provocations by the United States in the media space. This was claimed by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, on July 24.

“It seems to me that they went even further in their statements. Now this is not just aggressive rhetoric, supported by not less aggressive actions. Now it is an attempt to provoke a clash in the public sphere of Russia and China. In this, I can assure you, they will not succeed,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova emphasized that strengthening equal partnership and strategic interaction with Beijing is a priority of the foreign policy of Moscow. “This course is sustainable, long-term, it meets the tasks of strengthening good-neighbourliness and ensuring the development of Russia and China,” she resumed.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the White House could establish an alliance with the Kremlin to oppose “Communist China.”
