Earlier on the same day, the United States Senate announced intention to study the circumstances of the appearance of coronavirus, in particular, the role of China and the World Health Organization (WHO) in the spread of infection. Washington believes that initially the information about the extent of the outbreak was hushed up, and Beijing and the WHO had not taken enough measures to prevent a pandemic.
