OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov warned of a new reality in the country’s economy due to the coronavirus epidemic.

According to him, “rich times” have passed, and now it will be necessary to more effectively manage the resources that the state has. However, Russia, in his opinion, is ready for change. “For us, this is like a new reality. Nevertheless, we are ready for this reality, we have accumulated a sufficient amount of gold and foreign currency reserves at the Central Bank and government reserves,” Siluanov said in an interview in the film Dangerous Virus, shown by the TV channel Russia-1. The Minister stressed that these reserves are enough to respond to all changes in the economy and budget caused by the epidemic.
