Russian Deputies from the Communist Party Held Solitary Pickets in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 1, deputies of the State Duma and Moscow City Duma from the Communist Party held solitary pickets near the presidential administration, federal government and Moscow mayor’s office. This is reported on the party’s website.
During these actions, the communists demanded that the state authorities pay 25 thousand roubles (336 US dollars) to every Russian citizen due to the situation with the coronavirus infection.
State Duma deputy Valery Rashkin held a picket near the administration of the head of state with a request to pay money to citizens, introduce a state of emergency and protect doctors.
Earlier, deputies of the Moscow City Duma, municipal districts of the capital and some representatives of regional parliaments asked Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to pay benefits to all Russians. The authors of the appeal said that the state should “fulfill its constitutional social role.” In response, several officials explained that it is impossible because of the shortage in funds.
