Russia Expanded the List of Ukrainian Goods Banned for Import
OREANDA-NEWS. The government of the Russian Federation expanded the list of goods import of which is prohibited from Ukraine. This is stated in the document published on the website of the cabinet on December 17. The decision comes into force on the same day.
The list of goods prohibited for import was replenished: now it includes starch, glucose and fructose, radiators, central heating boilers, as well as a number of medical goods.
The list of products that are forbidden to be exported from Russia to Ukraine is also supplemented by recyclable paper and cardboard.
In addition, the list of Ukrainian citizens for whom sanctions are being introduced has been expanded. The decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and published on the legal information portal on December 16. Nine more people: officials and deputies of the Odessa Region, fell under restrictions, in particular, the former head of the Odessa police Vladimir Bosenko, the deputies of the Odessa City Council Alexander Ivanitsky, Oleg Bryndak and Alexander Sheremet. Two Ukrainians were excluded from the list. Now it includes about 570 persons.
On December 4, the Verkhovna Rada deputy from the European Solidarity faction, Oleksiy Honcharenko, said that the Ukrainian government extended the special duties for Russian goods until December 31, 2020. The restrictions introduced since August 1 have affected all Russian goods, except coal, gasoline, liquefied gas and pharmaceutical products.
On the same day, the Russian government promised to respond with the extension of special duties for Ukrainian goods.
