OREANDA-NEWS Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on holding negotiations to conclude an agreement on military cooperation between the defense ministries of the Russian Federation and China. The document is published in the database of regulatory legal acts.

"To accept the proposal of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia on holding negotiations on the conclusion of an agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Defense of the PRC on military cooperation," the text of the order says.

In late June, Russia offered China to purchase an additional batch of the latest Su-35 fighter jets. Previous deliveries of fighters to China were completed at the end of 2018.
