Rating of Zelensky Fell below 50 % for the First Time after Election
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the results of a survey conducted by the Social Monitoring Center and the Ukrainian Institute for Social Research from January 24 to 28, the confidence rating in the country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky fell to 49.4 %.
20.5 % of respondents do not fully trust the Ukrainian leader, 18.8 % rather do not trust, 28.7 % more likely trust the president, 20.7 % fully trust him. 11.3 % found difficulty in replying.
At the same time, Zelensky remains to be the only politician with a positive balance of trust (+10.1). For example, the Verkhovna Rada’s figure is –45.1.
According to a number of opinion polls, in December 2019, Zelensky's rating grew from 53 to 62 %. Analysts attributed this increase to the successful summit in the Normandy format, the completion of gas transit negotiations and the exchange of prisoners with the Donbass republics.
