Putin Named Russia’s Priorities in Space
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin named the creation of a promising line of rocket complexes and the improvement of space infrastructure among the priorities for the development of cosmonautics.
“We need to proceed from priorities. These are the improvement of our own space infrastructure, the build-up and qualitative improvement of the grouping of spacecrafts, the rhythmic continuation of manned programs, the creation of a promising line of rocket complexes, in general, an increase in the share of innovative space technologies, products and services,” the head of state said during the meeting on financing and development of the space industry.
According to Putin, “the solution of these strategic tasks is of great importance for the country, for the effective development of the domestic economy, for improving the security of the state, for maintaining Russia’s leadership in the global space market, where competition is growing rapidly.”
