Putin Declared that non-System Opposition Is Not an Enemy of the State
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that non-system oppositionists are not enemies of the state.
“Nothing of the kind. This is not true,” he said in an interview with TASS news agency, commenting on this thesis. At the same time, politicians, including oppositionists, should not just criticize the authorities, but have a clear idea of how to solve the problems facing the country, the President explained. “An ordinary citizen wants to see not only how the authorities are scolded, but he wants to hear and understand what is offered by those who criticize,” Putin emphasized. “When, beside criticism, he does not hear anything in response, the question arises: for whom we should vote?”
The politician also noted that Russians are not naive in political matters. In his opinion, “the political consciousness of ordinary citizens of Russia has grown very much over the previous year.”
