OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on publications about Russian intelligence officers allegedly involved in the "poisoning" of Alexei Navalny. Putin said that no one needs a "Berlin patient" to poison him. During the annual press conference, the president was asked about an "investigation" that allegedly cited the names and photographs of the FSB officers involved in the "poisoning" of Navalny. The President finds these publications not an investigation, but "the legalization of the work of the American special services" and added that this means that Navalny enjoys the support of the US special services. “And if this is correct, then it’s interesting, then the special services, of course, should look after him. But this does not mean that he needs to be hounded, who needs this?” - said Putin.

“If they (FSB – ed.) really wanted to, they probably would have got the job done. And so, when his (Navalny's - ed.) wife turned to me, I immediately gave the command to let him go to Germany for treatment,” the president explained.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the "sensation" in the Western media about the double or triple "poisoning" of Navalny shows the partners' lack of ethics and their unwillingness to establish facts.
