OREANDA-NEWS. Russian and American presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed the situation in the global oil market and other issues during a telephone conversation.

This was reported by the Kremlin press service. The conversation was initiated by the American side. “An exchange of views was held on the situation in the global oil market, including the agreement being worked out within OPEC+ to reduce production volumes in order to stabilize world oil prices. Trump informed about his contacts with the leaders of a number of oil-producing countries,” the report says. The politicians agreed to continue consultations on this topic.

Putin and Trump touched upon relevant aspects of bilateral relations, including cooperation in space. They also discussed the coronavirus epidemic, assessing the measures taken by both countries to combat the spread of infection.
