OREANDA-NEWS. Presidents of Russia and the USA Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection in the world and the situation on the oil market during a telephone conversation.

The Kremlin’s press service reported that the “lengthy” conversation took place at the initiative of the White House. Both sides expressed serious concern with the situation around COVID-19.

Besides, the presidents discussed the state of the oil market after a sharp drop in world prices. “An exchange of views was also held on the current state of the world oil market. It has been agreed on Russian-American consultations on this subject through energy ministers,” the Kremlin’s press service informed.
