OREANDA-NEWS. The Kremlin official website reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

It is known that the heads of state discussed the situation in Syria, in particular, the implementation of the agreements between Russia and Turkey to stabilize the situation in the governorate of Idlib.

In addition, Putin and al-Assad talked about advancing the political process in the Arab Republic within the framework of the Constitutional Committee, as well as about providing humanitarian aid to Syrian people.

The Russian leader also congratulated the Syrian President on the upcoming Muslim holiday, the Isra and Mi’raj.
