Protesters Burst into the Building of the Armenian Parliament
OREANDA-NEWS. On Tuesday night, hundreds of Yerevan residents, who condemn the signing by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of a statement to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, burst into the session hall of the national parliament. This was reported by a TASS correspondent from the scene. The head of the government and ministers were not in the hall. Protesters also blocked all adjacent streets.
On November 9, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the document, Armenia must give Azerbaijan part of the disputed territory. At the same time, Putin said that the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides will remain in their positions, and Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region. In addition, Yerevan and Baku should exchange captives and bodies of the dead.
