Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia Received a Response from Germany to Requests on the Navalny Case
OREANDA-NEWS. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia reported that Germany, in its response to requests over the situation with opposition leader Aleksey Navalny, did not answer a single question. The Russian side again requested information about the substance with which, according to Germany, Navalny was poisoned.
The answer was received on October 30. “No substantive explanations have been given to any of the questions raised earlier by the Russian side. Based on the nature of this response, it can be stated that to date, the requests of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation remain unfulfilled,” the agency’s statement says. The Russian prosecutors believe that such a response deprives Russia “of the opportunity to reliably establish the circumstances of the incident.” Moscow also expressed its regret in connection with “such a delay… in the execution of requests.’
“The competent authorities of Germany have again requested information on the substance and its chemical composition, which was allegedly found in Germany,” the message adds. It is also noted that “as a result of expert studies carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation, no toxic substances were found.”
