President of Ukraine Offered to the Deputies of Verkhovna Rada to Take a Lie Detector Test
OREANDA-NEWS. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that all members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policiy should take a lie detector test.
Earlier, the group of deputies of the pro-presidential political party Servant of the People expressed their desire to do so. It was connected with the fact that the office of the President suspected 11 parliamentarians in receiving bribes of 30 thousand US dollars for voting against the anti-corruption bill at a meeting of the parliamentary committee. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine initiated a criminal case in connection with this information.
“I am aware of all the events… I believe that all members of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy should take a lie detector test. If this test establishes at least the slightest chance that someone… took money for voting on the committee, anti-corruption bodies should deal with these deputies,” Zelensky wrote on Facebook.
According to the head of state, an honest and impartial investigation should answer all the questions. “I consider it necessary to do the same with the deputy who carried on doubtful correspondence on “resolving problems”. And if the suspicions are verified, we will say goodbye to such deputies,” Zelensky resumed.
Earlier, the media published the correspondence of the deputy from the Servant of the People Vyacheslav Medyanik in which he discussed with businessman Alexander Yarov how to resolve problems with the prosecutor’s office.
The deputies David Arahamia, Alexander Dubinsky and Alexander Kachura announced their desire to take a lie detector test. Kachura published a list of questions for himself and asked citizens to suggest their own. He noted that his interrogation at the polygraph will be broadcast online.
