OREANDA-NEWS. The Polish newspaper Myśl Polska described two scenarios of a possible military conflict between the United States of America and Russia.

According to the first of them, the American Armed Forces  will carry out a massive attack with the use of all available means, including nuclear weapons. As the author of the article notes, in this case Moscow can retain the ability to “strike an equally destructive retaliatory blow.”

The second scenario involves several steps. The main task is to put Russia in economic isolation, and in the future to carry out a “change of political leadership.” According to journalist Antoni Koniuszewski, this scenario has already been launched.

The author of the article believes that the probability of the outbreak of hostilities is real, since Washington may urgently need a “relatively large-scale war.” Russia is seen as the most likely adversary, and the United States should “try to subjugate the country along with its geopolitical space.”

Koniuszewski also mentions that Russia in extremely difficult circumstances “managed to make several master chess moves”: to succeed in Syria and to establish good relations with Turkey and Israel, while Washington “suffered a humiliating defeat in the Middle East.”

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Defense Alexander Sherin, commenting the publication, noted that every military intervention is preceded by information and economic pressure. “The economic blockade is always combined with the informational one. And now the Polish media are publishing such materials in order to try to demoralize us, destabilize the situation, and raise fear in Russia, as Washington wants. …They don’t like that Russia is a strong and independent power. Therefore, they are looking for ways to influence us. And the Poles only fulfill the will of the United States,” Sherin said.
