Police Detained more than 100 of Supporters of Navalny near the Moscow City Court, where the case of the politician is being considered
OREANDA-NEWS. Police officers on Tuesday, February 2, detained more than 120 people near the building of the Moscow City Court. This information is provided by the human rights portal «OVD-Info». The Moscow City Court is holding a visiting session of the Simonovsky District Court, which decides whether to replace the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny with a suspended sentence in the case of the cosmetics company «Yves Rocher» with a real one.
Alexey Navalny presented himself as an individual entrepreneur during a meeting of the Simonovsky Court in Moscow. Politician named the Pre-trial Detention center No. 1 as the actual place of residence.
Navalny returned from Germany to Russia on January 17. Immediately upon arrival, he was detained at passport control at the airport. The Federal Penitentiary Service said, that the opposition leader was detained for refusing to comply with the requirements of the court and for evading the control of the criminal executive inspectorate — he was not registered with the Russian police when he was treated in Germany after poisoning.
The lawyer of the oppositionist Vadim Kobzev asked to attach to the case the original certificate from the Charity clinic. The document says, that Navalny finished treatment on January 15, and until that moment he was observed on an outpatient basis. After being discharged from the hospital, he gained 100% of his body weight, recovering to his pre-incident levels.
