OREANDA-NEWS. CNBC channel reports that the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress Nancy Pelosi said that President Donald Trump will be charged for impeachment.

According to Pelosi, the actions of the head of state seriously violated the US Constitution. She said that she asked the head of the Judiciary Committee of the Congress to proceed with articles of impeachment. “The president leaves us no choice but to act,” Pelosi resumed during a press conference on Capitol Hill.

After a statement of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham wrote on her Twitter page that the president’s administration looks forward to a fair trial in the Senate. “@SpeakerPelosi and the Democrats should be ashamed. @realDonaldTrump has done nothing but lead our country – resulting in a booming economy, more jobs & a stronger military, to name just a few of his major accomplishments,” she wrote.

The US Democratic Party launched the impeachment process of Trump after appearance of information about the possible influence of the latter on President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

On December 4, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jerrold Nadler said that all three parts of the investigation for the impeachment of Trump meet the existing requirements. According to Nadler, the impeachment procedure for the US President is lawful. The day before, the impeachment report was approved by the Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives.
