«My coronavirus test is positive», Alvi wrote. According to him, he received the first dose of the vaccine, but the antibodies begin to be produced after the second, which was planned to be administered in a week. The president was vaccinated with a vaccine from the Chinese company «Sinopharm» on March 15. According to the company, the effectiveness of the drug 28 days after the second dose is about 80%.

«President Arif Alvi has mild symptoms and is in a good mood. I was also tested (for coronavirus), it is negative, and I am in quarantine», the wife of the Pakistan President wrote on Twitter. She urged the people of Pakistan to be vaccinated against the coronavirus and to take all precautions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 659 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Pakistan, 598 thousand people have recovered, and 14.2 thousand infected people have died.
