OREANDA-NEWS. Wargaming.net's World of Tanks product director, Vyacheslav Makarov, plans to create a Direct Democracy Party and participate in regional elections this year and in parliamentary elections in 2021, Kommersant reports citing Makarov.

A feature of the party will be a mobile application based on blockchain technology in which participants in the movement will vote, said Makarov. It is planned to spend $ 1 million on an electronic platform. According to him, developers from leading regional IT companies will be invited to the party. Makarov added that in many entities such companies are the largest taxpayers and they are well aware of local problems.

The organizing committee, in addition to Makarov himself, will include the director of the Eurasian Communication Center Alexey Pilko, deputy head of the Yandex.Money legal service Boris Chigidin, general director of Unwired Devices Oleg Artamonov, as well as the ex-producer of LiveJournal, co-owner of GR-Cpnsulting S.r.l. Timofei Shevyakov, the newspaper writes.

The constituent congress of the party should be held on March 5. To participate in regional elections this year, the party must obtain federal registration and then register branches in at least 43 regions, research director Alexander Pozhalov recalled.
