OREANDA-NEWS. On April 14, former US President Barack Obama claimed that he supports ex-Vice President Joe Biden as a candidate for head of state from the Democratic Party.

“Joe has the character and the experience to guide us through one of our darkest times and heal us through a long recovery. I’m so proud to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States. Choosing Joe to be my vice president was one of the best decisions I ever made, and he became a close friend. And I believe Joe has all the qualities we need in a president right now,“ Obama said in 11-minute video message.

Officially, Biden should be nominated as party presidential candidate at the Democratic Congress in August. The presidential election, in which Biden will be opposed by incumbent President Donald Trump, will be held on November 3.
