OREANDA-NEWS. The question of the resignation of President of Kyrgyzstan, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, should be decided today. This was stated by Sadyr Japarov, recently appointed head of the government, at a press conference on October 14. “We will resolve the issue of resignation today. We have to decide everything today. The country needs stability,” the politician said.

In the morning, despite the ban due to the state of emergency, Japarov’s supporters held a rally in Bishkek.

According to the portal 24.kg, a rally in support of Jeenbekov is going to be held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Its participants claim that he should not leave the post of head of state in such a difficult period. They consider that Japarov, as prime minister, should support Jeenbekov.

“Not only my supporters are standing in the square, but other people as well,” the new head of the Kyrgyz government said, commenting on this.
