OREANDA-NEWS. Nationalists attacked the adviser to the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhiy Sivokho during the presentation of the National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity held in Kiev. This was reported by the portal Strana.ua.

The incident occurred half an hour after the start of the event. One of the nationalists began to insult Sivokho, calling him a traitor. After several minutes of conflict, radicals surrounded the organizer of the conference, pushing him out. As a result, Shivokho fell down. Then he got up and left the building.

Kiev police detained 15 people. It is reported that they tried to escape. Investigators are looking for the rest of the participants in the conflict.

The description of the National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity says that its task is to unite government initiatives and public for development of state policy. It focuses on building dialogue between civilians in Ukraine, including those who live in the Donbass.
