More Than Half of Russians Declared Disagreement in Society
OREANDA-NEWS 57% of Russians believe that in society "more disagreement, disunity", the most acute citizens see the contradictions between the government and the people, follows from a survey of the research group ZIRCON.
The survey was conducted in December 2018, it was attended by 2.5 thousand people over 18 years old, they could choose several options.
The most fragmented respondents consider power and society (45%), rich and poor (40%), people with different political views (24%), as well as officials and ordinary citizens (23%). At the same time, in 2015, according to a survey of the Institute of sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, only 32% of respondents spoke about the disunity of power and people, while 37% of respondents saw the split between rich and poor, the newspaper notes.
65% of respondents believe that in relations with people you need to be careful, while 30% consider the society cohesive, and 31% said that "the majority can be trusted."
To unite with other people, if interests and ideas coincide, 75% of respondents agree, 15% disagree, another 10% found it difficult to give an answer. The head of the ZIRCON group Igor Zadorin noted that the main unifying factors for the Russian society are family values and patriotism.
According to a survey by the Levada center, published on February 11, more than half of the country's population does not trust the authorities and believes that officials hide the truth about the situation in the country. Over the past year, the share of those who do not trust the authorities has increased from 37 to 52%.
In early February, it was reported that 41% of Russians aged 18-24 said they were ready to go abroad for permanent residence. At the same time, in General, 17% of the total number of respondents answered positively to the question about the desire to emigrate.
