OREANDA-NEWS Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved a plan for the implementation of the State National Policy Strategy in 2019-2021. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the Russian government.

"The signed decree approved a plan for the implementation of the strategy for the next stage - 2019-2021. In its preparation, the proposals of Federal and regional Executive authorities, public and scientific organizations were taken into account. The plan consists of 58 points, 76 measures are provided for the priority directions of the state national policy", the message reads.

The document should contribute to the effective implementation of the state national policy, promotion of ethno-cultural development of the peoples of Russia, support of the Russian language as the state and languages of the peoples of the country, as well as the formation of a system of social and cultural adaptation of foreign citizens in Russia and their integration into Russian society. In addition, the plan will help to improve public administration in the sphere of state national policy and interaction of state bodies with civil society institutions on national policy.

The draft plan was reviewed and approved at a meeting of the Presidium of the presidential Council on interethnic relations on December 19, 2018.
