OREANDA-NEWS The speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, explained that the Russian leadership does not intend to introduce new restrictions on the Internet. 

At the Territory of Meanings forum, she assured the participants that the government and the parliament had no intention of somehow limiting their capabilities on the Internet. According to her, only current restrictions remain. As for the law on the protection of Internet, she noted that it was created to protect Russia from cyber attacks. 

Previously, the speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, stated that the “poison of antihumanity”, which is dangerous for children, comes from the Internet.
