“Donald Trump approved my murder, and I am not exaggerating. They are trying to send a group of snipers or hire snipers in Venezuela to kill me,” the politician said. He noted that this decision was made by Trump, who has no ethical norms. In addition, Maduro believes that he became the victim of the brutal aggression because the US government offered 15 million dollars for his head.

In March 2020, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the US authorities had appointed a reward of 15 million dollars for information that would help arrest the Venezuelan President. The award for data on Maduro and his associates was set due to the allegations of drug trafficking.
