OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that those who criticize the measures to combat coronavirus taken in the country do not know how the nation actually lives.

“They say, we went wrong way, you see. To follow the path of Belarus, it’s necessary to have a system. And the system, even in the post-Soviet republics, except us, was completely destroyed. Infectious hospitals were destroyed, specialists departed, nobody trained microbiologists, virologists and epidemiologists. Now they bear the fruits. And they throw stones at us,” the politician said.

Lukashenko added that nowadays the republic has “very few sympathizers”, and urged not to relax. He also noted that tests to detect coronavirus were launched in Belarus, and they turned out to be more accurate than foreign analogues.
