Lukashenko Denied Reports of His Departure from Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko began a meeting on the situation in the construction industry with denying reports that he had left the country. “For a start, I am still alive and I am not abroad, as some… people are promoting. Today is the 14th, we are meeting to discuss the work of the construction industry,” the politician said.
On August 12, political strategist Vladislav Rogimov reported that Lukashenko flew to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing sources in the presidential administration of Belarus. The Kremlin denied this information. The press service of the Russian leader said that meeting of Putin and Lukashenko is not scheduled.
Opposition Telegram channels wrote about the forthcoming flight of Lukashenko from the country, noting his absence in the public space during few days.
