OREANDA-NEWS. Representatives of Ukraine in the political subgroup on Donbass made a scandal at a meeting of the Contact Group. This was reported on November 25 by the representative of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the political subgroup, Rodion Miroshnik.

“The representative of Ukraine in the Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbass, Leonid Kravchuk… said that the Ukrainian side, when preparing the road map, does not intend to consider the projects submitted by representatives of the Donbass republics, but wants to see only a project from the Russian Federation,” Miroshnik informed.

He added that the refusal of the Ukrainian side to discuss draft laws to resolve the situation, in fact, is a “statement of Kiev’s withdrawal” from both the Contact Group and the Minsk Agreements.

In turn, the representative of Russia in the Contact Group Boris Gryzlov during the meeting noted that Kravchuk’s actions are not aimed at resolving the conflict, and declared support for the plan proposed by Donetsk and Lugansk. At the same time, any plan prepared and submitted by Russia can be regarded as interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine, so Moscow will not work on it.

A dispute ensued between Gryzlov and Kravchuk. Finally, Gryzlov recalled that the Russian Federation entered the Contact Group at the invitation of Ukraine. If the opinion of the Ukrainian leadership has changed, then it should make a statement about it.
