OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that Western countries and Israel do not intend to create a Palestinian state, which was envisaged by the UN decision. Lavrov recalled that this decision was made 75 years ago. However, the West continues to take the position that a Palestinian state will not be created. Israel does not want the unification of Gaza with the West Bank.

Lavrov also noted that Russia calls not to create security risks for Israel. Russia maintains contacts with Israel and Palestine and calls for an immediate end to hostilities.
