OREANDA-NEWS The Estonian Foreign Ministry handed the Russian ambassador a diplomatic note stating that three employees of the Russian embassy have been declared persona non grata and must leave the country within 72 hours. According to the ministry's website, the employees distributed propaganda justifying Russia's actions in Ukraine. A similar decision was announced on Twitter by Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics.
«Latvia is expelling three employees of the Russian Embassy in connection with activities contrary to their diplomatic status», Rinkevics said in the publication. On March 18, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry declared ten Russian diplomats persona non grata. As Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova noted, this is an extremely unfriendly act on the part of Bulgaria, Moscow reserves the right to retaliate.
Norway has joined the sanctions against the Russian Federation, previously imposed by a number of EU countries. This is reported by RT with reference to the message of Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt. «Today, the broadest package of sanctions ever imposed by Norway has been incorporated by the government into Norwegian legislation», the minister said.
