Kremlin Spokesman Called the Situation with Coronavirus in Russia Quite Difficult
OREANDA-NEWS. The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia is quite difficult, the wave of morbidity is going east from Moscow, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, told reporters.
“Indeed, the background is quite heavy now. The main force of the epidemiological strike… fell on the non-metropolitan regions, it went east of Moscow. So the situation with the spread of the coronavirus is quite difficult. This requires extremely energetic efforts from both the federal government and the regional governments, which is being done,” the politician said. Peskov noted that Putin receives all information on COVID-19 pandemic through the federal center and regions. Earlier, the Russian President stated that there is no need to reintroduce restrictions due to the spread of the disease.
