OREANDA-NEWS. Infected with a coronavirus infection, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was hospitalized in Milan. This was reported by the news agency Ansa.

Some symptoms of COVID-19 have appeared in the former head of the cabinet and leader of the political party Forza Italia, after which, for precaution reasons, he was transferred to the clinic San Raffaele. Fortunately, the course of Berlusconi’s disease does not cause concern among doctors.

Berlusconi’s infection with coronavirus of a new type became known on September 2. After returning from the island of Sardinia, the 83-year-old politician passed tests, which gave a positive result. Then the attending physician of the former head of the Italian government said that the disease is asymptomatic. Berlusconi has isolated himself at his villa in the city of Arcore, Lombardy, and continued to work remotely.
