OREANDA-NEWS. The National Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine opened a criminal case of high treason due to the trip of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada from the political party Opposition Platform – For Life to negotiations with the State Duma of Russia in March 2020. This was reported by the Internet edition Strana.ua with reference to a letter sent by bureau’s investigator to the Ukrainian parliament on September 4.
The case was initiated against Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Renat Kuzmin, Oleksandr Koltunovych, Tetiana Plachkova and Vadim Rabinovich at the request of the deputy from the Rada faction Voice, Solomiia Bobrovska.
In the letter, the National Bureau of Investigation asks the parliament leadership whether anyone from the Rada sent these deputies to Moscow.
Rabinovich said that he does not understand what crime he and his colleagues committed. The politician indicated that the bureau’s letter says that Opposition Platform members “went to Moscow and talked there with the deputies of the Russian Duma about peace.”
