OREANDA-NEWS. German authorities will gradually begin to open schools and resume sporting events, the dates will be discussed on May 6. This decision was made after a video conference held by Chancellor Angela Merkel with the heads of government of the federal lands.

It is also planned to open playgrounds, museums, exhibition centers and galleries, zoological and botanical gardens, memorials and religious organizations. A mandatory condition for their opening is strict adherence to hygienic and anti-epidemiological requirements.

At the same time, mass events remain to be banned in the territory of the country. According to politicians, the resumption of their holding is postponed until at least August 31.

The procedure for removing restrictive measures is in the competence of the federal lands of Germany.
