German Side Explained the Refusal to Provide Information about the Poisoning of Navalny
OREANDA-NEWS. The Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Bundeswehr in Munich, which found traces of a toxic substance from the Novichok group in the biomaterial samples of Russian opposition politician Aleksey Navalny, cannot transfer information about research to a third party for reasons of secrecy.
This was reported by the newspaper Novaya Gazeta with reference to the official representative of the Bundeswehr health service. “Additional information on the research results may allow conclusions to be drawn about the specific skills and knowledge of the Bundeswehr in relation to the substances concerned,” the German side explained. It was added that in such a “sensitive area” this is unacceptable for reasons of security and protection of German interests.
So the Institute answered the question of whether the Bundeswehr would transfer information about the research in the Navalny case at the request of the Russian authorities.
