OREANDA-NEWS. Deputies of the Bundestag from the party Alternative for Germany appealed to the federal government of the country with an appeal to “maintain neutrality” of Kiev and, if possible, speak out against Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

“The German Bundestag calls on the federal government to maintain Ukraine’s neutrality, that is, if possible, to speak out against the country’s admission to the European Union and NATO,” the address says.

German deputies repeatedly mention Russia and its ties with Ukraine in their message. In their opinion, Kiev and Moscow, despite the ongoing deterioration of relations, “are linked to each other in cultural, religious, linguistic, economic and ethnic terms.” In particular, they consider that Ukraine “should not be put before a choice” between Russia and the West, since this spurs towards a “split in the country.”
