OREANDA-NEWS The FSB on Thursday detained a certain Alexander Vorobyov on suspicion of high treason, according to a department website.

The statement does not specify where exactly the detention took place, who Vorobiev worked for, and what exactly was imputed to him.

Article of the Criminal Code "High treason" provides for punishment of up to 20 years in prison with a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles.

Judging by the statistics of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court, four or six Russians receive terms for treason in recent years, but in 2016 there was a surge - 14 sentences at once.

Recall the other day the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow arrested a certain Petushkov Sergey Viktorovich, whom the FSB also suspects of treason.
