OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine uses weapons in the Donbass that are prohibited by the Minsk agreements, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on Kiev to end the military escalation in Donbass.

Commenting on the current situation in Donbass, Maria Zakharova pointed out that Moscow is calling on Kiev "to immediately end the military escalation in Donbass, stop imitating the negotiation process and start responsible fulfillment of obligations on an internal Ukrainian settlement on the basis of the Minsk package of measures." According to her, the goal of all these actions is to save the rating of the current President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. 

"It is completely incomprehensible how this will help stop the decline in living standards, the rapid de-industrialization, depopulation of Ukraine," Zakharova said.

In addition, according to the Russian side, Kiev, propagandizing the theme of the "Russian threat", is trying to divert attention from internal problems. This was stated on Thursday by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

"In order to divert the attention of the Ukrainian population from the deteriorating situation in the socio-economic sphere and the growing political turbulence, as well as to justify the absolutely aggressive militaristic plans, Kiev is conducting an active disinformation campaign. Its basis is still the same - creating an image of an enemy in the person of Russia," she said. Zakharova at the briefing.
