Facebook Removed Trump’s Post because of False Information about COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. The social network Facebook has removed from the account of US President Donald Trump a video containing false statement about the coronavirus.
According to NBC News, this is a video with a fragment of Trump’s interview with Fox News, during which the American leader said that children are “virtually immune” to COVID-19.
“This video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone explained.
Twitter also removed the video from Trump’s page, NBC News added.
According to CNN, a spokesperson for Trump’s headquarters Courtney Parella said that in an interview, the president just mentioned the fact that children are less susceptible to infection with coronavirus. She accused Silicon Valley of bias against the leader of the United States.
