Erdogan Threatens with a New Blow to Syria in Case of Ceasefire Violation
OREANDA-NEWS. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared his readiness to deliver a powerful retaliatory blow if Syria violates the ceasefire in Idlib Governorate.
“We are closely watching the regime, watching what the military, supporting it, are doing on the ceasefire line. But if they don’t keep their word, we won’t avoid answering them more strongly than last time,” the head of state said during a speech to the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party.
According to the politician, there are already insignificant attempts to violate the ceasefire in Idlib, and Turkey informs Russia about these facts. Therefore, according to Erdogan, it is too early to declare a long-term peace in the region.
