OREANDA-NEWS Over the past day, at least 9 civilians were killed in Donetsk. 18 people were injured during a shelling of localities which was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This information has become known via the official Telegram channel of the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination on ceasefire and stabilization of the demarcation line (JCCC).

The firing occured in residential areas of Donetsk, Volnovakha, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya and Makeevka. At least 605 rockets and artillery rounds were fired at them. There is one minor among the dead.

Some time ago, Ukranian President vladimir Zelensky stated that the most difficult areas for the Ukranian army are Zaporozhye region and Severodonetsk. He also noted that the situation in these areas is "threatening".

Zelensky added that if the Ukranian troops meet a breakthrough in Donbass, it will be extremely problematic for them to cope with it.

Earlier, the head of the Kyiv-controlled Lugansk regional military administration, Serhiy Gaidai, made an announcement about a worsening situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Severodonetsk. He said that it was possible to carry out a counteroffensive and liberate almost half of the city for a while, but the situation still got worsened.
