OREANDA-NEWS. The members of the Democratic Party in the United States Congress may bring new charges for President Donald Trump’s impeachment. This was reported by Fox News channel on December 24 with reference to a document of the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives.

It is noted that the Democrats hope that during the testimony of the former White House Counsel, Donald McGahn, new facts of possible Trump’s abuse will emerge.

“If McGahn’s testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the Committee will proceed accordingly – including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment,” the statement says, noting that the Committee still has “ongoing impeachment investigations.”
