OREANDA-NEWS. The Dalai Lama, being at a meeting with philosophers and educators from many countries, including Russia and the United States, explained why he had recently been critical of Donald Trump and what he thinks of the Soviet Union.

The Tibetan spiritual  leader noted that he didn’t like when Trump declared that America was in the first place in the whole world. Such a country shouldn’t think only of itself, and the President should have a wider area of thought, the Dalai Lama said at the first international conference named “Human Education in the Third Millennium” and held in his residence in Dharamsala.

He also recalled the socialist system and the USSR, saying that the motivation was perfect, but the man who was supposed to bring great ideas to life was lacking in morality, and he had a narrow mindset.

The first meeting of about 20 major specialists in the sphere of education from Russia, India, Bangladesh, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, USA, Brazil, Mexico and Australia was held in Dharamsala, where the residence of the Dalai Lama is located. The conference is the first of three stages of a large-scale project of the same name held in 3 years and personally supported by the world-famous Tibetan spiritual leader. The culmination of the project should be the holding of a world forum with the participation of hundreds of specialists from different countries and the adoption by 2021 of the Declaration on the Human Education in the Third Millennium and the special guide for teachers.
