OREANDA-NEWS. In China, the epidemic of coronavirus infection is still not over. This was stated by Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Li Keqiang, speaking on the work of the government at the opening annual session of the legislative assembly in Beijing.

“Thanks to the hard work and self-sacrifice of the Chinese people, we have achieved major strategic results in our response to COVID-19. The epidemic is not over yet, and the challenges we face in fostering development are enormous. We must redouble our efforts to minimize losses from the virus and fulfill the tasks for socio-economic development set for this year,” the politician stated.

Li Keqiang added that the epidemic has become the fastest-growing, most extensive and most complicated emergency situation in the sphere of public health that China has faced since the creation of the state.
