OREANDA-NEWS. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden believes that the greatest threat to the United States on the international stage is Russia. He expressed this point of view in an interview with the television channel CBS.

The presenter asked the former vice president which country, in his opinion, poses the most serious threat to the USA. “I think the biggest threat to America right now in terms of breaking up our – our security and our alliances is Russia,” Biden replied. “Secondly, I think that the biggest competitor is China. And depending on how we handle that will determine whether we’re competitors or we end up being in a more serious competition relating to force,” the politician added.

Biden stressed that the policy of the current American leader Donald Trump also poses a serious threat to the United States in the international arena. According to him, this approach of the US President turned into an increase in the missile arsenal of North Korea and Iran’s progress in the nuclear weapons program.
